I have a beautiful new creation up for sale here.

I keep harping on about how persephone has finally come back because New York is finally temperate 70's, Ryan almost took his shoes off at the beach yesterday, even. Haides must be awfully lonely >> I always mix greek and roman names because some of them I just like better than others ; for example, I prefer persephone but with pluto as her counterpart, etc. We were talking about the gods, sprawled on the bed last night, and Ry insisted he was going to make a gritty true crime movie about cupid.

I hope you are all having a beautiful life. I want to say this: if you have a person actively trying to hurt your reputation, trying to turn people against you, etc, just let it go. I've had this problem for some time, it seems, and it has, until now, made me angry and hurt my soul. But recently I found an inner light, born out of my happiness in life, I think, and my own self content, to understand the vulnerability and confusion it takes in an individual to be so ugly to his or her fellow. And I hope that person grows, and learns, and finds lots of love to replace the dark things that bring them to being the way they are at present. If someone is so venomously against you, (I'd say) send positive vibrations their way so that they can heal, and in turn, you can heal. And hope that the important people stand by you, and the ones who do not, well, wish them well, too. All aggression stems from weakness which I saw on a youtube comment about north korea but feel it pertains to much more than war.

I feel so spiritually at peace for once in my life.

In any case! I've been very sick but had some kind help & got the medications I needed & Ry and I managed through a broke week after rent so, in an effort to cheer my spirits and celebrate another month survived, Ryan took us into sayville for a daydate of The evil dead, a few precious gifts, and antique store perusing which were such a blessing - when you make due with very little you find a great sense of gratitude and happiness in splurging, even just a little.

Little gifts from him include a satchel of gemstones from the silver broom - the priestess charged the rose quartz, as she said she could sense I needed it & I really believe it is the cause of this newfound peace and forgiveness I am feeling. This stone of unconditional love that opens the heart chakra to all forms of love: self-love, family love, platonic love, and romantic love. The high energy of quartz gives rose quartz the property of enhancing love in virtually any situation. Bringing love in to life and daily situations not only brings inner warmth, but it also lowers stress and soothes those around it. Rose quartz is a very happy and loving stone. Also a small bottle of perfume, bundles of daffodils picked off the roadside & the prettiest gold scarf from a church secondhand store. Also went to a museum or two because I live in New York now and I can do that. Still humbles me.

I don't even know how I got so lucky, truly the kindest person I have ever brought into my life, selfless, loving. And it doesnt hurt that during movie previews we both chuckle at the same things or that i wake up night after night - despite our huge bed - with my face pressed against the wall and heating grate because he is wrapped around me so tightly that it has almost pushed me onto the floor. Last night we were falling asleep - I mean I was mighty ungraceful on my stomach with my feet kicked out of the blankets - and he took my hand into his and held it as we dozed off ; it was a really unique kind of feeling, I thought of Pompey and how good we would look preserved through time in lava ^_^;

An adventure was had by driving out to manorville, to a historic abandoned church. I nabbed these great glass shutters off a rotting alter. Removed the rotted wood, sanded, painted, sanded, removed and cleaned the glass and added a new piping of silicone to hold it all in & attached the doors together to use as a tabletop - I might paint this entire little table white to more accurately go with the doors, but overall I am in love - ryan kind of laughed at me using them as a tabletop but isnt it a good idea? AM I CRAZY? The best thing is that you can slide things, trinkets or photos, under the glass top. Right now I just have natural history WIP on the table.

Little beach adventures continued: Ry searching the beachside for glass for my vastly growing collection! We find the most lovely broken shells & this time we even found a twisted seastar.

Drying flowers, spreading butterflies and moths, working in a pillow for my auntie (she has the most gorgeous fabrics shipped in from fifth avenue, they are upholstry but have a velveteen sheen and the colorways are so gorgeous for summer. There must be three pounds of this stuff and I am excited to start working with it! Boho gypsy dress in the works on my dressform. Tiny things, tiny miracles.

Also a dear friend heard about how I have been sick and sent me the prettiest care package <3 wedding brocades, a gorgeous glass locket, goldleaf books, black freshwater pearls & bellydancer coins <3 I have so much to create with these treasures!!

Small emergency and as such im putting up one direct sale. My jumbo constellation locket - usually i sell these for 50 dollars, but there is a small chip on one side of the glass. Its small, towards the edge, and only visible at an angle - you cant see it through the vellum or straight on, and there is always the other side that is perfectly perfect.

Life is so wonderful! I apologize for the long hiatus and this adjoining huge post. Things have been a little busy and I haven't had time to be online - infact, I sat down to count and I don't think I have been online with a PC in over three weeks - I love it, quite frankly ;) But brace yourselves and your bleeding eyes, I think I had a hulking 90-or-so photos to dump off! I must hurry, my Ry panda is taking me east for a late valentines, off to montauk to visit camp hero, the site of the space traveler and philadelphia experiment business (WHAT A VALENTINES, he knows my heart (and has my heart)).

First order of business! All items like the books, marionette and scarf are now listed up on my etsy shop so if anything catches your eye go see if it's for sale and snag it up ~

Second order of business! We had a blizzard! (one day, but we were stuck indoors for four!) I had never seen snow this deep or vast, I think in one evening it was almost two feet. Ryan and I are kind of (all of) children, so we spent the actual snow night in intervals of belly flopping into said snowfall, running inside for coffee and tea, repeat, it was magical. The latter three days of white everywhere and not being able to get out of the house were more tough because we dont keep much food around and we got a bit of cabin-fever. All in all, though, my general experience of this snowstorm made me think of the shining novel and there was a very real part of me that wanted to tunnel into the snow by hedge animals and spook myself out.

We finally had time to sort through our collection of seashells and mount them in a box for the mantle & use the moss we had been hoarding into terrariums.

I worked on books, some, or finished a few up. Much time spent staining and edging these pages. Painting silk embroidery, bottling goldleaf, sewed swan feathers. You know, my thing.

Planted and sprouted a wildflower garden! the secret, I have found, is to buy compact fluorescent lights - T8's! At night I have been sitting my buds under it and they lean, seem more enthusiastic for the T8 than they do during the day for the sun :) (thankyou to my twinheart for buying these lights for me) and, when I snooze late, for taking my plants and sitting them in the sun of the glass doors (how romantic).

Worked on new butterfly plushie specimens for the shop, unpainted with furry moth fringe. Love these once they are painted.

Made good food (look, having come from alabama I was unaware of breakfast sandwiches outside of fast food - literally,
bagel and deli shops do not exist there, breakfast is not a phenominon as it is in NY, but I think I make really good
sandwiches (usually on kaiser rolls) : cheese, mushroom and beansprout omelet, hashbrown pattie, turkey bacon - peppered
and doused in rooster sauce). ALSO! I WAS!!! so excited to see mightyleaf in stores, now! It is so good, but I never order
their teas because to order something online I usually have to buy it in bulk to justify shipping to myself and I never
want enough tea for a bulky order! This citrus chamomille is the only thing we bought in prep for the storm and Ryan took me
to two stores to find the flavour I wanted!! :D BAKING Do you know how nice it is to bake again?

Lots of incense and dreamy, warm smoke for the indoors - made our own diffuser oils.

Dollmaking marionettes! Still in progress, he is only sanded and mounted to his string cross, right now. He still needs to
be painted, have little clothes sewn for him, and have his limbs strung. Also the head is complete for his brother,
a moon faced demon :)

A few misc shots, Ryan looks better in my shorts than I do ): Making third eye headbands with crochet'd white mohair and
black hematite, bathtime bathbombs and books :) Napalm hair (I have since washed it five times every shower because I like
orange hair, truly, but I dont like neon colors and I need my oranges to be much paler than it was here).

My auntie sent to me a collection of silk shirts she had made in china over thirty years ago - arent they amazing
and beautiful?? Also she bought me a sewing machine so clothes, clothes, clothes are going to get cranked out.

I found this old iron chair in a garbage bin, without a seat, so I used this pretty floral upholstry and made
two little cushions so I could sit the chair on the mantle and use it to sit small things on, like musicboxes and
victorian teddy bears :)

Working on a nazgul scarf/hood that is tattered sheers and thick frayed velvets.

Trying to take advantage of the snow for photos, so cold :3

Thanksgiving. Lots of food, decorating for christmas at Ryan's family, a bear hat that ive been wanting for all the ages of man and Ryan got for me 8) Food? Lots of food. The thing I am most thankful for this year is that Ryan is a dork and cant pose for a photo without breaking the chair and falling.

Our days have been spent watching loony toons halloween specials, running around in the woods, making potpourri satchels in the forest, trailing, tea with honey, collecting stones.

Ryan and I took a three day cross-country train trip across america, from LA to NYC. New york is so much more home to me, and I am entirely happy with the move. Seeing the midwest really changes you, deep in your soul, especially juxaposed against LA, to the layover in chicago, to NYC ; vast nothingness beset against too-much and too-many.

Some people might stretch the trip out to a post for every city and stop, but really, there feels like so much coming for me to post about I want to do it in one! My impression of the trip was this: New mexico was my favorite state, Ryan and I got out and shopped at street vendors (we got matching bracelets and earrings with turquoise and handmade burgers & the atmosphere was very laid-back, the people seemed content to their own worlds. Chicago was probably me least-favorite, and my least-favorite area to date, the atmosphere was really cold and solitary and unhappy, and people were incredibly rude - they would ask for money or directions and then stop paying attention to you halfway through your response (though a chicago local did sit next to me when Ryan went to rent a locker for our luggage & we chatted about new York (he had nothing nice to say about it, as was the entire attitude of chicago).

Traintrips are lovely, though. We had a few interesting conversations and overpriced food and it made me feel the way artists and writers must have felt, riding the rails in the early days of train travel, Ryan and I on the observation deck, drawing and writing and drinking coffee.

Walking out of Penn station in NYC was incredible, life changing unto iteself. We are staying with one of his friends at present in a more suburban area near NYC and I like it, i fully embrace not being directly in the city because this is a land of indians and the and revolutionary war, full of nature and history and green, but NYC is a carride away. It couldn't be more perfect, quite honestly.

I am still pretty new to things as an alabama country native with only a few months in LA under my belt. I got stuck in a revolving door in chicago & the new york travel systems are all going to be new to me, Ive never even ridden a bus alone, so. Alot to learn! Alot to live!! Ryan has his music and a job pretty much right where he wants it, day one, so all I have left to do is find my niche here :]

Ryan and I couldnt be happier, though. We went to indian-namesake lakes today and walked down green trails and collected treasures from the sand & have trips to sleepy hollow and pumpkin patches and canoeing and hiking already planned!

You've never seen so much fog and rain and clouds and green, and I say that as a southern native. You really have to go to a concrete hell like LA to appreciate these things, though. The trainride down the hudson, with clouds and fog so low it looked like smoke, felt like being reborn.

Ryan brought me to the most gorgeous location, the avalon. It was sunset so the photos are so-so, but I forsee myself here alot, and alot of photosets taking place in this magical, legend-esque place.

One of my famous self congratulatory "you have a face and are wearing clothing" posts. I know, they excite me as an artist, too.

I don't really have money to tone my hair anymore so I dont know what to do with my yellow bleach bits, i was thinking of doing it teal for ombre hair because teal+grey is a wonderful combination, but usually ombre goes normal>bright, I dont know how teal roots to blonde ends would look. SERIOUS PROBLEMS IN LIFE, DONT YOU KNOW.

Woke up from a nap with this on my leg, and you thought I was going to go an entire post without mentioning Ryan.

I asked the internet to assist me in building onto Ryan's coin collection for his birthday and I received some of the most interesting ckages of money! One huge sackful from the sweetest girl alive <2

Had a lovely night with Lauren going back to the observatory to eat cold berries on the front lawn as the ISS came into orbit. She also introduced me to two lovely white witches who gave us tarot readings! There was a wonderful energy to their home <3
